Nandita Das is all geared up to immerse us completely into the world of controversial and brutally honest author Saadat Hassan Manto. Her upcoming biopic Manto, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead follows the most tumultuous years in the life of the iconic writer and those of the countries, India and Pakistan which Manto inhabited and chronicled.

Today the team held a special screening for the film and Bollywood stars arrived to show love to Manto, and Nawazuddin. In appearance were Nawazuddin, Nandita Das, Gurdas Mann with wife Manjeet Mann. Other friends also made their way to the special screening.

Produced by HP Studios, Filmstock and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Manto also stars Rasika Dugal, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Rishi Kapoor and Divya Dutta in key roles. The film is slated to release on September 21.
