Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson, who is currently in Mumbai, was present at a special press meet organized to promote the International Mixed Martial Arts League . The popular boxer spoke about the first global team mixed martial arts league called Kumite 1 League.

The Kumite 1 League is the brainchild of Mohamedali Budhwani, CMD of Toyam Industries and is supported by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

The league marks the first time of an MMA competition and which will be contested by teams representing their respective countries. India will be going against UAE in the first bout at the NSCI Dome in Worli.
