SOTY 2, starring Tiger with newcomers Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday, is the sequel to 2012 film Student of the Year, which launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. The much-awaited film, directed by Punit Malhotra, is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Production. Ahead of the film's release on May 10, the makers of the film organised a special screening for the cast members and their families.

Seen at the gathering were Tara Sutaria, Karan Johar and his mother Hiroo Johar, Remo D'Souza with his family, Apoorva Mehta with his family, and Radhika Apte.
