Our shutterbugs clicked Akshay Kumar at Dadar's Plaza Cinema where he attended a special screening of his latest film Mission Mangal held for the officials of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Tuesday evening. In attendance at the screening was BMC chief Praveen Pardeshi and 300 civic body officials from all 24 wards in Mumbai. The Mission Mangal actor, at the screening, spoke to the officials and applauded them for their work. Stating the reason to watch Mission Mangal in particular, one of the officials reportedly said it was to motivate them to work hard.
Mission Mangal orbits around the journey of the team led by Akshay to achieve a seemingly impossible task of reaching Mars in India’s maiden attempt, establishing India as the only country in the world to set this record. Apart from him, the film stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi. It is financed by R Balki and Akshay. Presented by Fox Star Studios, produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions and Fox Star Studios, Mission Mangal released on August 15, 2019.
