Deepika Padukone, after a sabbatical of nearly two years, is back on the silver screens and how. The actress, who stars in the lead in Meghna Gulzar directed Chhapaak, is seen on the screens for the first time post marrying Ranveer Singh in November 2018. Deepika, in Chhapaak, isn't just the female lead but stepped into the shoes of a producer for the first time. Now, as the film released across the country, the 34-year-old actress, keeping up with her tradition, visited Siddhivinayak Temple on Friday.
Deepika stepped out in the city on Friday morning and was seen offering prayers to Ganpati Bappa. Dressed in off-white ethnic wear, the actress sported a radiant glow sans heavy makeup. Post darshan, Deepika posed for the shutterbugs presents before heading back home.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika’s KA Production, Meghna and Govind Singh Sandhu’s Mriga Films, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna, Chhapaak is a tale of an acid attack survivor, Malti, who battles against the social evildoers. It is inspired by the story of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor. The film released on January 10, 2020.
