Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar celebrates his 75th birthday today(January 17) and the mark the occasion, he hosted a party on Thursday at his Mumbai residence. With the theme of the party being retro, the guests dressed up as film characters of the early 60s and 70s. The man of the hour, Javed twinned with his wife Shabana Azmi in polka. The lyricist opted for a red shirt and pants while Shabana stunned in a similar shirt, red skirt and jacket. Posing with each other for the cameras, the couple looked adorable.

Javed's son Farhan Akhtar attended the party with his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. The actor, keeping up with the theme, donned a look like Amitabh Bachchan. Zoya Akhtar was also clicked at the bash.
