The funeral cortege of Rishi Kapoor has arrived at the Chandanwadi Crematorium in Marine Lines. Just two kilometres away from the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre where he passed away at 8.45 am this morning. The mortal remains of the veteran actor are not being put to flames exactly but through an electric cremation.

A Reliance Hospital ambulance, impressively bedecked with flowers, was used to carry Rishi on this final journey. It is believed that Abhishek Bachchan went ahead to make the arrangements for the cremation on behalf of the Kapoor family. Among the mourners at the crematorium are Saif and Kareena Kapoor, Anil Ambani, Alia Bhatt, Aadar and Armaan Jain, Varun Dhawan and brother Rohit, Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji and Rahul Rawail. 

Rishi’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is not at the funeral. It was believed she had obtained permission to travel to Mumbai to pay her last respects to her father. While some sources said Riddhima was to take a chartered flight, others said that flights were not possible, and she could travel by road. However, at the moment of final parting, Riddhima is not with mother Neetu and brother Ranbir to say goodbye to Rishi Kapoor.
