It was a day of pride for actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She, along with daughter Aaradhya, is in Melbourne to attend the IFFM 2017. The actress graced the Westpac Awards red carpet last night where she won the Global Icon award. And today morning hoisted the Indian National Flag at the Federation Square. Interestingly, she has become the first female actor ever to hoist the tricolour at the annual ceremony, which is part of a special segment.
Dressed in a stunning floor length Anarkali by Manish Malhotra, hair styled in a messy bun and accessorizing her look with sparkling diamonds, the 43-year-old looked gorgeous. Aaradhya looked equally pretty in her white lehenga by her mother's side.
Aishwarya hoisted the national flag and sung the National Anthem with the crowd. In one of the videos, one can see Aaradhya imitating her mother and saluting all the while and her innocent expressions were endearing. The actress also delivered an emotional speech on the occasion.
A few pictures from the event made its way to the social media, and we have to admit Aishwarya's charm and her craze among the fans is still the same, since her Miss World days.
