Exactly a year ago, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja left for London with her husband Anand Ahuja. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress couldn't make a trip to India for important occasions. Now, Sonam is finally back in Mumbai. As the restrictions have eased, Sonam flew down to her hometown. Anand chose to stay back in London. 

Sonam landed in Mumbai post-midnight. Anil Kapoor was at the airport to receive his daughter. On seeing her father after a year, Sonam got emotional and broke down.  Anil held his daughter close to him as they walked towards their car in the parking area.

In April, Sonam shared a picture with Anand on her Instagram account and said, "I miss india so so much , and I’ve been craving to go back home and see my family and friends desperately."
