Legendary Marathi and Hindi actor Ramesh Deo passed away at the age of 93 due to a cardiac arrest last night on Wednesday, February 2. The actor’s demise was confirmed by his filmmaker son Abhinay Deo who said, “He passed away due to a heart attack around 8.30pm tonight at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.”
Today, his final rites were performed in Mumbai. Several celebs including Ashutosh Gowariker, Raza Murad, Suresh Oberoi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kiran Kumar, Vijay Kadam, Makrand Deshpande and politician Raj Thackeray arrived to pay their respects to him. Check out the photos and videos below:

Ramesh Deo worked in more than 250 films in a career spanning over five decades. He is best remembered for his role in Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan’s Anand (1971) and in Gulzar’s Mere Apne (1971).
Besides acting he also dabbled in production and direction. He had several awards to his credit, including the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the 11th Pune International Film Festival in 2013. He is survived by wife Seema Deo who starred alongside him in Anand and sons Marathi actor-Ajinkya Deo and filmmaker- Abhinay Deo.
