India's Nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, has left for her heavenly abode. The end of a musical era came this morning after the legendary singer and Bharat Ratna succumbed to multi-organ failure and chest congestion. She was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital for a COVID-19 infection followed by pneumonia. 

Soon after the news broke, Anupam Kher rushed to Lata Didi's Prabhu Kunj apartment at Peddar Road in Mumbai.

Sachin Tendulkar, who was extremely close to the legendary singer, was spotted outside Breach Candy hospital.

Javed Akhtar and Ashutosh Gowariker also reached Prabhu Kunj. 

Lata Didi's mortal remains will be kept at Prabhu Kunj for a few hours before heading to Shivaji Park for the funeral.
