India's nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, passed away this morning at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. In January, she was admitted to the hospital due to COVID-19 but after showing signs of improvement, she had been taken off ventilator support. However, on Saturday, her condition deteriorated and she was put on the ventilator again. 

The funeral will be held at Shivaji Park shortly with dignitaries in attendance. Shah Rukh Khan was among the first few celebrities to arrive for the funeral.

The Bollywood superstar quietly reached the funeral ground to pay his last respects to the legendary singer who has worked on many of his films. 

While paying his last respects, Shah Rukh prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
