India's nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, passed away this morning at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. In January, she was admitted to the hospital due to COVID-19 but after showing signs of improvement, she had been taken off ventilator support. However, on Saturday, her condition deteriorated and she was put on the ventilator again.
The funeral will be held at Shivaji Park shortly with dignitaries in attendance. Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar were seen at the funeral ground. As per reports, Lata Didi was a mother figure to Sachin.
