Lata Mangeshkar was laid to rest at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Her younger brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar lit the pyre as the family bid an emotional goodbye to the legendary singer.
Today, Hridaynath Mangeshkar's son Adinath Mangeshkar collected his aunt's ashes from Shivaji Park before the immersion.

As per sources, sandalwood was used instead of regular wood for the cremation. As many as 9 pandits were called to perform the puja and rituals according to the family traditions.
