The funeral of Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK is about to take place in some time in Mumbai today. The mortal remains of the singer who passed away on Tuesday night, May 31, at Kolkata after performing in a concert will be cremated today at the Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai at 1.00 pm.

Ahead of the funeral, KK’s colleagues and friends including Hariharan, Salim Merchant, Javed Ali and Raghav Sachar arrived to pay their last respects at the singer’s residence.

KK passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest after performing at Kolkata. He was accorded state honour and a gun salute by the Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal.

KK's daughter Taamara had shared an emotional post giving details about the singer's final rites.
