Neetu Kapoor just got a promotion! The veteran actress who is a doting mother to Ranbir Kapoor and a loving mother-in-law to Alia Bhatt, became a dadi (paternal grandmother) as the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, this morning. Alia was taken to the hospital at 7.30 am and the good news was out by the afternoon. 

Neetu was at the hospital with Alia. After seeing her grandchild, the actress returned home in the evening. During an interaction with the paparazzi, Neetu informed that Alia is doing well. Calling the baby girl 'very cute', she expressed her joy in becoming a grandmother. When a paparazzo asked her, "Baby kispe gayi hai?," she replied, "Abhi chhoti hai, aaj hi hui hai. Toh abhi pata hai but she's very cute."
