B-town is a small village and when all its denizens turn up at an engagement, the gathering is bound to comprise exes and generate ohs!

All eyes were naturally peeled for every breath and every step that rumoured ex-lovers Alia and Sidharth took at the birthday bash hosted by Ranbir at his Pali Hill residence.
For starters, the two who always arrived and departed together at events, came separately. They also mingled separately, till the inevitable happened… Alia had joined a cosy circle comprising Vicky Kaushal, Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. And soon who else should join the gang but Sid himself. The two avoided speaking to each directly though, and joined in the group chatter. Later, Alia was spotted chatting with Shah Rukh Khan, who had made a late entry, Imtiaz, Gauri and Karan. Sidharth, on his part, hung out with the single boys’ club; namely Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor.

At around 3.30, when Sid decided to call it a night, he shared the customary hugs with all around, and yes, that included Alia too. Jaws around dropped ever so slightly but the two kept their faces carefully emotionless as they bid goodbye. Good thing Jacqueline Fernandez, the beauty credited with breaking up this cute couple, wasn’t on the guest list. The eyes would’ve bored holes right through her!

Definitely less attention came the way of another ex-couple – birthday boy Ranbir himself and one-time girlfriend Avantika Malik. She came with husband Imran Khan, and clearly it’s all water under the bridge, as it should well be.

Speaking of exes, no sign of Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif either. And not a whiff of the bare-backed beauty from across the border, snapshots of whom had created a ruckus recently. Mahira Khan and RK understandably prefer someplace more neutral and private like New York, anyway!
