Ten years ago, Farah Khan introduced Kingfisher Super Model Deepika Padukone to the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. The leggy lass debuted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Red Chillies Entertainment’s musical-drama Om Shanti Om in 2007 that Farah directed. Little did Bollywood know then that it was getting a new superstar who would command the highest paycheck for an actress in the industry over the next decade.
Fast forward to 2017, and DP (as the actress is fondly addressed) is the reigning queen of tinsel vile. Celebrating her decade in films, the actress today took off to a mini-vacation to an undisclosed destination with Farah, her first director. The girls happily posed for the paparazzi before they headed towards their aircraft.

In an exclusive video interview with Peeping Moon.com, Farah had revealed that Deepika and she were headed abroad to celebrate the actress' 10th year in films. Known for her wit and humour, Farah termed this special day as “Deepika's 10th Birthday” and we couldn't agree more!

Deepika’s relationship with Farah has evolved over the years. When the director went through a bad patch after her 2010 heist comedy Tees Maar Khan came a cropper at the box office, she approached Deepika to work in her next film, Happy New Year (2014) opposite Shah Rukh Khan again. And Deepika, who had back-to-back hits in Bollywood with Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela, Chennai Express and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, agreed to doHNY knowing her role was a minuscule one. The film turned out to be a hit and got Farah back in the game.
