The much-anticipated Gully Boy shoot commenced yesterday. As known to all, the film is headlined by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and is reportedly inspired by Naezy and Divine, two street rappers who were the subjects of a documentary Bombay 70.

Earlier PeepingMoon exclusively brought you the first look of Alia Bhatt in Gully Boys. She was spotted in a traditional Muslim headgear, sans makeup not quite hiding her look from the shutterbugs.

And shortly after we bring to you the first look of Ranveer Singh who will play the rapper in the movie. There have been reports that Ranveer’s character will be based on Naezy’s life. Also, surprising everyone with her rap skills would be Kalki Koechlin

While Ranveer and Alia have not starred in a film together, they have done several advertisements for the travel website Make My Trip.
