Kangana Ranaut's is not scared to go the distance to get into the skin of her character. She has started filming for the next leg of the shoot where she plays as the younger version of Rani Laxmibai.

Currently shooting in Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, Rajasthan the actress looked gorgeous as she was spotted in a maroon navvari saree. Her jewellery and hairdo is on point and she looks like a total stunner!

After Padmaavat, Manikarnika came into the limelight for distorting historical facts however the makers have made sure they have not misrepresented anything in the film. KV Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of the film said, "No need to worry about it as I have portrayed her in the most respectable way. She is a warrior who fought against the British. She is my favourite woman leader. I have grown up reading about her. So, I will always portray her in an inspirational way."

Helmed by Telugu director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi or popularly known as Krish, the film is rumoured to release on Independence Day in 2018. It marks the debut of TV actress Ankita Lokhande and also stars Sonu Sood, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles.
