Amitabh Bachchan attends Sridevi's last rites

February 24th saw a loss of one of the biggest and most legendary actress in Indian Cinema, Sridevi. While what was a blissful weekend for many, Amitabh Bachchan felt otherwise even before the news of the actress' untimely death made the social media round.

Amitabh in a tweet wrote, "Na jaane kyun, ek ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rahi hai” (Don’t know why, a strange anxiety has come over me). This little premonition sent shivers down social media's spine.

After the world learnt about the death of the actress, words offering condolences came pouring in. Although the 75-year-old actor had refrained from directly tweeting or speaking about Sridevi over the last few days, he did cancel the shoot of his upcoming film to mourn the death of Sridevi.

He was spotted at Pawan Hans Crematorium where the actor paid his respects and bid adieu one last time.

Sridevi, who was just 54, was Amitabh's co-star in films like ‘Inquilaab’, ‘Aakhree Raasta’ and ‘Khuda Gawah’. Bachchan also made a special appearance in 2012's ‘English Vinglish’, the film that marked Sridevi's return to screen after a hiatus of many years.
