Producer Boney Kapoor along with his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor landed in the capital city earlier today to receive the honorary National Award that will be conferred to the late actress and a screen legend Sridevi.

The jury announced the winners of National Awards earlier this month. Sridevi will be awarded for her performance in the revenge-drama titled Mom. This film also marked her 300th and the last film. The award will be presented to the family by the President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday in Delhi's Vigyan Bhavan.

Talking about the honour being conferred, Boney in a statement expressed his gratitude. He said, "Thank you. I just wish she was here today to see this. We are overjoyed to know that the jury has conferred the best actor award to Sridevi for her performance in Mom. It’s a very special moment for all of us. She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a super actor but a super wife and a super mom. It’s time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on."
