All the news-worthy happenings this week, broken for you by PeepingMoon.com…
Congratulations & Celebrations!
At PeepingMoon.com we had brought you all the pre-wedding excitement; and we followed it up with all the delicious details once Virushka had their gorgeous secret wedding in Tuscany. “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share this wonderful news with you,” the newlyweds chimed, and the fun only continues as we catch glimpses of their snow-bound honeymoon.
Sonam: Bride to Be?
Another wedding on the cards! We brought you the forecast of an early 2018 engagement followed by a stunner of a wedding later in the year for fashionista and actress Sonam Kapoor and her businessman beau Anand Ahuja. The couple is certain to tie the knot in Udaipur in March 2018 , though of course, the actress’s PR team is denying the rumours outright – just like Anushka’s publicity team did, heh heh.
Jail for Rahane Sr.
It was sad news when India’s Test Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane’s father was arrested for causing the death of a woman in a car accident on National Highway No. 4 near Kolhapur. Madhukar Baburao Rahane’s car hit the 67-year-old woman, Ashatai Kamble, while the family was travelling to Tarkali in the Konkan region for a vacation.
Winner Trailer
Akshay Kumar stunned with the trailer of PadMan. To make a mainstream film on the otherwise taboo women’s subject of sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene is a brave risk. It takes sportsman-like courage and persistence to keep making meaningful cinema with a social message like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and PadMan – proving that Kumar is a true Khiladi…and, like PadMan, a superhero, no less.
SRK plays saviour
We brought you the news of Shah Rukh Khan, despite being a mega star, working together with producer Prernaa Arora to ensure their respective films, Bauaa and Kedarnath do not clash at the box office on December 21, 2018. Well aware of how same-day releases affects the performance of both films at the box office, the release of the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer might well be postponed.
Why Ranbir won’t party…
PeepingMoon.com informed you that while the rest of the film industry will be boisterously ushering in the New Year, Ranbir will be staying put – because the actor would have started an exhaustive physical training session by then for his role in Ayan Mukherjee’s upcoming trilogy Brahmastra for Dharma Productions. The actor, concerned by the fact that he has not had a hit in some time, would rather focus on work and not be distracted by parties and celebrations around the New Year.
Double shifts for Salman
An action-packed 2018 coming up for Salman Khan! In between shooting for Bharat, brother in law Atul Agnihotri’s official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean drama Ode to My Father, he will also begin work on his brother Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 3 to be directed by Prabhudeva. Salman really does go the extra mile when it comes to his family. This is the first time in years that he is attempting to work on multiple films at the same time.
Ranveer has no time for Chopra!
Despite meeting the filmmaker at his residence and hearing his offer out, Ranveer didn’t commit to Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film. And now with him greenlighting Kabir Khan’s cricket film 1983 on India’s first World Cup victory, and the Karan Johar-Rohit Shetty collaboration Simmba, it means Ranveer has zero dates for Vidhu in 2018. Ranveer, who has already started preparations for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boys with Alia Bhatt, really can’t be blamed if Chopra is miffed!
Deepika sends warm wishes to once-frenemy Anushka
While the world gossiped over Deepika not wishing Virushka on their wedding, turns out she did – just not on social media! Warm, personal messages to both Anushka and Virat, coupled with a gigantic bouquet with a hand-written card from her and Ranveer… we sure like Ms Padukone’s style!
Sidharth’s stunt gone wrong
Sidharth Malhotra’s sudden quitting of social media didn’t get the desired response, once it emerged that it was simply a publicity stunt for his upcoming film Aiyyary! Sorry, Sid, that didn’t impress us much.
