Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has delivered numerous hits but there is nothing like their family entertainers. Oh, did I forget to mention Punjabi family entertainers? Their upcoming release Jug Jugg Jeeyo will take the bar a notch further. Starring Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli, the Punjabi family drama is directed by Raj A Mehta.

Now, days before Jug Jugg Jeeyo's release, we at PeepingMoon, took a look back at all the Punjabi family entertainers Dharma Productions gave. Right from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to Kal Ho Naa Ho and Good Newwz, we simply cannot forget them.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

A hardcore Punjabi family drama, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham stands tall in every aspect. Who can forget Poo and Anjali and all their drama? The film showed the journey of a Chandni Chowk based girl to settle down with her family in the US.

Kal Ho Naa Ho

From the confusion between Kapoors and Kapurs to typical Punjabi grandparents, Kal Ho Naa Ho became one of the coolest films revolving around an NRI Punjabi family.

Dostana

Maa Da Ladla Bigad Gaya became the signature dialogue after Dostana released and we ain't complaining. Kirron Kher's portrayal of a typical loud Punjabi mom is immortal in the history of Indian cinema.

2 States

There could have been no better Punjabi mother than Amrita Singh. She immersed herself into her role and presented a memorable character for centuries to remember.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

Alia Bhatt's Kavya was the perfect Punjabi to-be bride in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. She influenced several brides and how.

Kesari

Kesari revolves around a Sardar freedom fighter who was a part of the heroic Battle of Saragarhi. The bravery and valour of Punjabi freedom fighters were beautifully highlighted in the film headlined by Akshay Kumar.

Good Newwz

Raj Mehta's directorial debut Good Newwz showed two Punjabi couples who welcome their babies via surrogacy. Though they are Punjabi, the couples were poles apart. One was a modern couple whereas the other was a loud, enthusiastic traditional couple.

Shershaah

Captain Vikram Batra's love story with Dimple Cheema blossomed in the heart of Punjab. Amid war sequences, Punjab and Punjabis were shown beautifully.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Raj Mehta has blended stories of two Punjabi couples belonging to the same family. The common thread that joins them is separation. We cannot wait to watch the film on the big screen.
