2022 was the year of some phenomenal performances. Over these 12 months, actors made sure to give their 100% to make their roles memorable and evergreen. Some of them acted as strong pillars of a film. 

From Jaideep Ahlawat's power-packed act in An Action Hero to Pavail Gulati's emotionally-charged-up performance in Goodbye, these actors in supporting roles shone the brightest and lent great support to not just the main lead, but the story as well.

Jaideep Ahlawat - An Action Hero

Jaideep Ahlawat is an actor par excellence and he reiterated the same with a fantastic performance in An Action Hero. His comic timing was bang on and so were his slick action moves. With his incredible screen presence, he won over the audience from the first frame.

Darshan Kumaar- The Kashmir Files

Darshan Kumaar stood his own ground in The Kashmir Files even when he shared the screen space with the veterans of the industry. He played the role of Krishna, who acts as a catalyst in narrating the entire story to the audience. 

Maniesh Paul-Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Trust Maniesh Paul when it comes to comedy. In Jug Jugg Jeeyo, most of his jokes landed perfectly and created the right impact on the audience. Maniesh played the role of Kiara Advani's brother Gurpreet and added some unique and interesting flavours to the story. 

Abhishek Banerjee-Bhediya

Abhishek Banerjee is the current favourite and why not? In Bhediya, he entertained his audience as Janardhan/JD who was none other than Jana from Stree. Dependable as always, Abhishek nailed the role and gave one of the year's best performances. 

Sanjay Mishra & Siddharth Jadhav- Cirkus 

In Rohit Shetty's world of comedy and errors, Sanjay Mishra and Siddharth Jadhav delivered maximum laughs through their effortless act. Be it Sanjay's hilarious one-liners and accent to Siddharth's mannerisms, Cirkus was made more entertaining due to these factors. 

Boman Irani-Uunchai

Uunchai was a surprise package and so was Boman Irani's performance. As endearing as always, the actor charmed his way into the audience's hearts with a fine act. Boman remained to be one of the key highlights of Uunchai. 

Shantanu Maheshwari-Gangubai Kathiawadi

Shantanu Maheshwari entered Bollywood with Gangubai Kathiawadi. His boyish charm and grace as Afsaan were appetising enough to draw attention toward his acting mettle. We cannot wait to see more of Shantanu in films. 

Sharib Hashmi-Vikram Vedha

Sharib Hashmi is a magician who needs no introduction. With every new project, the actor knows the art of shaping up according to the character's requirements. He did exactly the same in Vikram Vedha. He cast his magic right from the first frame and impressed with his performance in a grey role. 

Rajpal Yadav-Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is incomplete without Rajpal Yadav. Using his expertise in the comic genre, the veteran actor delivered every punch line with finesse and kept the humour quotient intact throughout. Chhota Pandit clearly belongs to Rajpal forever. 

Pavail Gulati-Goodbye

Pavail Gulati played the role of Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta's eldest son in Goodbye. While his character was responsible for some laughs, there was a poignant scene post-interval that struck the right emotional chord with the audience.
