Bhumi Pednekar- Badhaai Do
Bhumi Pednekar had a strong command over her character Sumi in Badhaai Do. Being a dependable actor as always, she took the film a notch above with her performance which was fun and mature in equal measures.
Alia Bhatt-Gangubai Kathiawadi
The Indian audience had many apprehensions when Alia Bhatt was confirmed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. With the film's release, she proved naysayers wrong. In the titular role, playing with her expressive eyes, Alia pierced straight into the heart with her interpretation of a prostitute turned social activist. She was nothing but poetry in motion in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's world.
Tabu- Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 clearly belonged to Tabu. Taking her own bar of brilliance way higher, the actress left many stunned by showing a new facet of her talent in the film. Killing us a million times with her eyes and body language, the actress' stupendous performance shall be remembered for centuries.
Kiara Advani-Jug Jugg Jeeyo
Kiara Advani, the current golden girl of Bollywood, did complete justice to the role of Naina in Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Her confrontation scene with Varun Dhawan shall be remembered for several decades. She was one of the strongest and most impactful actors in the film.
Janhvi Kapoor- Mili
