In the new year, Indian cinema is all set to present some fresh, unconventional and good-looking on-screen pairs. With a wide variety of films releasing in theatres and OTT, the audience will get to see some of their favourite stars pair up to tell interesting stories.

Be it Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in Jawan, Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur in Metro... In Dino or Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in Bawaal, here's the list of some interesting new on-screen pairs of 2023!

Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor: Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are sharing the screen space for the first time in Luv Ranjan's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The film will release on March 8, 2023. The title announcement teaser unveiled Shraddha and Ranbir's looks. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, presented by T- Series’ Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. 

Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor: Bawaal

Ever since Bawaal was announced, the excitement is at an all-time high. The Nitesh Tiwari-directorial has a dream cast. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are doing their first film together. Bawaal is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson and is co-produced by EarthSky Pictures. The film will hit screens on April 7, 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan-Nayanthara: Jawan

The King Khan of Bollywood teams up with Lady Superstar! There's no better news than Shah Rukh Khan joining hands with Nayanthara for an out-n-out action thriller directed by Atlee Kumar. The film is scheduled to release on June 2, 2023.

Ayushmann Khurrana-Ananya Panday: Dream Girl 2

Ayushmann Khurrana is returning to the Dream Girl franchise after the humongous success of the first part. This time, he has been paired with Ananya Panday. Trolls were unkind to the young actress but she and the makers took it with a pinch of salt. Instead of reacting to naysayers harshly, they hilariously introduced Ananya in the first teaser.  

Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna-Tripti Dimri: Animal

Ranbir Kapoor with Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri! That's enough to imagine what a fantastic film Animal would be. For the first time, Rashmika and Tripti are working with Ranbir in an out-n-out Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. 

Sidharth Malhotra-Raashi Khanna-Disha Patani: Yodha

Too much hotness, isn't it? Sidharth Malhotra will be unleashing his action avatar in Yodha and this time, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna are joining him. It is still unclear whether the actresses will be paired with him romantically. 

Shah Rukh Khan-Taapsee Pannu: Dunki

Though Taapsee Pannu has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in the last on films like Badla, she never shared the screen space with him. Now, the dream is coming true. Shah Rukh and Taapsee are headlining Rajkumar Hirani's December 2023 release, titled Dunki. A picture from the film's international set went viral on social media and it has got movie buffs excited. 

Sara Ali Khan-Vicky Kaushal: Untitled

Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan were supposed to star opposite each other for the first time in Aditya Dhar's The Immortal Ashwatthama but destiny had a different plan. The actress is no longer a part of the mythological fantasy which has been put on the backburner for the time being. On the contrary, Sara and Vicky shot for Laxman Utekar's upcoming directorial and that will be their first film together.  

Katrina Kaif-Vijay Sethupathi: Merry Christmas

For the first time ever, Katrina Kaif teamed up with the current South sensation, Vijay Sethupathi, for Sriram Raghavan's highly-anticipated film titled Merry Christmas. Not much about their roles have been disclosed yet. 

Deepika Padukone-Prabhas: Project K

Deepika Padukone is going global and we ain't complaining. She has signed Nag Ashwin's pan-world film, tentatively titled Project K, which stars her with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. While she has worked with Mr. Bachchan in the past, it will be interesting to watch her with the Bahubali of Indian cinema. 

Prabhas-Kriti Sanon: Adipurush

There were strong rumours that Prabhas and Kriti Sanon are dating each other. Reports claimed that they fell in love while shooting for Om Raut's Adipurush. However, the actress clearly denied the news. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Ram in the film whereas Kriti is Sita/Janki.

Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde: Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde will be sharing the screen space in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (formerly titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali). Reportedly, they will be playing lovers in the film but not much about their characters has been disclosed. 

Arjun Kapoor-Bhumi Pednekar: The Lady Killer

Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar are headlining The Lady Killer. Arjun's look from the film was unveiled on the poster. The co-stars often shared pictures from the shoot schedules on social media which got fans excited. 

Alaya F-Rajkummar Rao: Sri

Alaya F, in her 3rd film titled Sri, is paired with Rajkummar Rao. While it is known that Rajkummar is playing a blind person, Alaya's role is still a surprise. This is definitely one of the most unique pairings of 2023.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Vijay Deverakonda: Kushi

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda fans are on cloud nine ever since Kushi was announced. The actors recently shot for the film in Kashmir. The pan-India sensations have upped the anticipation and this goes without a doubt. 

Sobhita Dhulipala-Aditya Roy Kapur: The Night Manager Remake

Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala are teaming up for the much-awaited remake of The Night Manager. The remake also stars Anil Kapoor. It is yet to be officially announced in the media. Reportedly, it will release in 2023.   

Sidharth Malhotra-Rashmika Mandanna: Mission Majnu

Mission Majnu is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna. The teaser of the Netflix film dropped in recently and featured Sidharth in the role of a spy. Rashmika is his ladylove. We cannot wait to watch their magic unfold on the screen.

Shanaya Kapoor-Gurfateh-Lakshya: Bedhadak

Shanaya Kapoor and Lakshya are making their debuts in Bedhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film also stars Gurfateh Singh Pirzada who acted in the web film, Guilty, and played a brief role in Brahmastra. The trio's first film together seems interesting. 

Vicky Kaushal-Fatima Sana Shaikh-Sanya Malhotra: Sam Bahadur

Vicky Kaushal will be playing the titular role of Sam Manekshaw in the Meghna Gulzar directorial whereas Sanya Malhotra has been signed for the role of Silloo Manekshaw. Fatima Sana Shaikh will play Indira Gandhi.
