Mahira Khan casts a wisp of 'black' magic during her Cannes red carpet debut

Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan is more than what meets the eye. The actress is a director's delight and every fan's most beloved fantasy. At the same time, she has never stepped back from speaking her mind and rightly carries the label of being a woman of substance. Sorry, Mahira is not sorry. Mind you me, she very well resonates her bold stance, by extension, in her sartorial picks. All her ensembles have style-meets-comfort written all over them!

Mahira, who has often experimented with her outfits with a right amalgamation of Indian and western inspiration is a name to reckon with in the fashion industry. The style aficionado geared up to make a splash at the currently underway 71st Cannes Film Festival. On day one of her attendance, Mahira put forth a flashy show - choosing elegant, chic and some boss lady outfits.

Cut to red carpet. Dressed in a Alberta Ferretti creation, the movie star put her best fashionable foot forward. The actress was named the first Pakistani brand ambassador for make-up giant L’Oreal last year. For her red carpet debut at the film jamboree, Mahira opted for an elan ensemble, a black strapless body-fitting gown, with pleats accentuating the waist.

With her lips accentuated by a scarlet shade, and eyes done up with a winged liner, Mahira kept her hair open and simple with a neat side parting. She kept her accessories minimalist with just a Chopard neck piece, earrings and a bracelet.
