Award shows are the time when Bollywood celebrities dress to the nines and don their most bold and daring attires. The week was quite exciting for some fashion nerds as our b-town stars walked the red carpet at the Filmfare Awards 2022 last Tuesday, August 30th. The show represented some shelled-out major fashion goals as they dressed like a million bucks in their glamorous attires.
Wearing stunning suits, dresses, and sarees, the stars aced their fashion game and left us taking notes for days! From power couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal walking down the red carpet to our rising star Shehnaaz Gill looking gorgeous in a white saree, here’s the list of celebs from the show who impressed the fashion police and in style.
Kriti Sanon - Fiercely Hot
Looking like hot red chili, Kriti Sanon won the best actress award as well as the best-dressed award from our side. Styled by Sukriti Grover, Kriti wore a red dress from the brand Lia Stublla featuring a plunging neckline and a long slit in the front which showcased her beautiful legs. The dress also featured a trail. She glammed up in a minimal silver pearl necklace with a matching ring and matching manicure. Red is definitely her colour, she looked so hot with red lips, and finally to finish off the look she opted for red strappy heels.
Kiara Advani – Dazzle & Shine
Looking like a fairy, Kiara completely aced this look which is as pretty as her smile. She donned a red gown from Mark Bumgarner. Styled by Lakshmi Lehr, Kiara grabbed all our attention in a shiny corset with a flowy floor-length gown with a slit in the front showing off her long legs. She didn’t opt for any accessories and went for nude makeup look because her outfit was enough to do all the talking. Lastly, she added shimmery rose gold heels for some bling.
Ranveer Singh – Classic Red
The man of fashion who always leaves the stage making a statement, Ranveer Singh stole the stoplight in a red velvet Gucci number. Introducing the colour red made him look 10 times cooler and his fit is a perfect example of what chic-classic looks like. This look had a very retro vibe going for it, considering the fit of the blazer and the high-waisted design of the pants. Ranveer hosted the show and styled his look with a white shirt, a black butterfly bow, black boots, and his statement diamond studs.
Sharvari Wagh – Flower Power
Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Sharvari looked so pretty in a black gown with flower prints on it from Gauri and Nainika. The flower-shaped diamond earrings were the statement piece of the look, she also accessorized a matching diamond ring along with it. Straight hair, nude lips, and shimmery eyes with heavy eyelashes were complementing her look pretty well.
Tejasswi Prakash – Go Bold or Go Home
What a bold look! Tejasswi made a statement in this amazing black outfit from John & Ananth. The dynamic collar gown added so much drama to her look. Well, that wasn’t enough, so they added a fish cut detail on the end also which her look incredibly gorgeous. Long heavy earrings and a ring to accessorize the look and smoke eyes, heavy brows, and nude lips for more glam.
Shehnaaz Gill – Vision in White
Looks like our drama mama, Shehnaaz impressed the fashion police with her look. She dazzled in a white Manish Malhotra saree with an ivory chikankari and pearl embroidery art. The saree also featured feather detail at the end and some pearls on the right sleeve of the blouse. She glammed up for the night in the bronze makeup with a bronze earring. Styled by Ami Patel, she also carried a small white handbag along with it.
Malaika Arora – Yellow Bee
Shining in Tutus Kurnaiti dress from Alexandre Vauthier’s Collection, Malaika looks like a shining star in a full-sleeve yellow shimmer dress with a deep neckline and a slit in the front. Hair neatly tied back in a ponytail and golden glam makeup with a necklace and some rings added a feather to her cap. Finally, to sum up, she wore golden strappy heels.
Karan Johar – Drip for Life
Karan Johar definitely made some heads turn in a classic and chic suit from the house of Gaurav Gupta. The embroidery on the suit was hard to pull but a very bold move. He never fails to impress his fans with some statement pieces like he did for the special night. A black butterfly bow, silver skull ring along with sunglasses that had glitter detailing made him look like a boss.
