The real charm of any thriller is when it keeps its audience engaged and makes their heart beat faster. The Buckingham Murders is one such film which leaves a deep impact due to its story, acting and direction. In this film of Hansal Mehta’s, Kareena Kapoor Khan rises to new heights in her career. This film is a great mix of suspense and emotional drama, which forces the audience to think till the end.

The story begins with a tragic incident in which her character’s child is shot, which turns her into a British-Indian spy Jasmeet Bhamra. She flees her hometown and reaches another city, where she has to deal with the difficulties of the case assigned to her. This case is set in the small town of Wycombe, where communal tension erupts after the arrest of a Muslim teenager. The case becomes even more complicated in the fire of violence. Jasmeet, who is already struggling with her personal grief, tries to uncover the truth of this new case. Will she be able to catch the killer? Or will her own grief deepen? You will not be at peace without knowing the answers to these questions till the end of the film.

Kareena has given a brilliant performance, going beyond her traditional heroine image. She has proved that she can play any kind of role. Apart from Kareena, Ranveer Brar has also done a great job. All the other actors have also performed well. Keith Allen’s performance should be specially appreciated. The biggest feature of Hansal Mehta’s films is that they never disappoint. He forces his audience to think and his films have deep social and political messages. The Buckingham Murders is no exception. He has presented the issues of justice and communalism in a very accurate and sensitive manner. The message of the film is clear: In children’s cases, justice too hasty can be as dangerous as justice too delayed. If you liked Kareena’ performance in Jaane Jaan, you will like her even more in this film. Overall, if you like thrillers and Kareena Kapoor Khan, then this film is a must watch. Hansal Mehta’s direction and the thrilling climax are also great reasons to go to the theatre.
