Transformer One movie review: A cinematic action packed adventure into the world of robots

In a world of film franchises, cinephiles are served with yet another addition to the Transformer universe. Transformer One, another installment in the film series offers new commencements. Josh Cooley who is known to give life to materialistic things has yet again breathed life into robots with Transformer One. This latest animated part of the science fiction action films series is a fantastic watch.

Transformer introduces a fascinating world of autobots. This chapter focuses on Orion Pax and D-16, two hardworking autobots in the energon mines of Cybertron. They are the best of friends having each other's back and would follow the other in every decision. Orion himself takes a mission to find the Matrix of Leadership to liberate the lower class of Cybertron. While on the hunt for the Matrix, he and his friend D-16 learn secrets of Sentinel Prime and since then their differences grow as their idea of dealing with it vary. 

Transformer One is a blend of high-octane action with extravaganza visual effects. What started as a strong friendship soon turned into rivalry taking forward the franchise. As a prequel, the film highlights the story of Orion Pax and D 16 who on the hunt for the Matrix turn Optimus Prime and Megatron after learning the truth about Sentinal Prime who betrayed Iacon City becoming the leader of autobots by stealing their cogs. 

Transformer One is an intriguing and thrilling experience in the life of autobots. It offers a solid mix of action, humour, and emotions keeping the viewers hooked. The performance brings spark and extra energy to the film with impressive voiceovers by stellar actors. Optimus Prime or Orion Pax is voiced by Chris Hemsworth, Megatron or D-16 is Brian Tyree Henry while Elita is Scarlett Johansson. Other ensemble voice casts include  Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. 

Director Josh Cooley delivers a fabulous job in extending the world of transformers into animation with a prequel to the story. The background score maintains the theme of transformers keeping viewers connected throughout. Set in a futuristic world, Orion and D-16's journey from friends to enemies is a gripping and emotional story of betrayal. The movie does a great job of showcasing how even best friendships can crumble under pressure, especially when ambitions clash.
