Crazxy Movie Review : Sohum Shah shines but a weak soundtrack and overlong finale hold back the wild ride

Film: Crazxy

Cast: Sohum Shah

Director: Girish Kohli

Rating: 3.5 Moons

Story

‘Crazxy’ revolves around a doctor (Sohum Shah) who has to pay someone 5 crores to save his life. But, he gets a call that his daughter has been kidnapped and the ransom is 5 crores. Is his daughter really kidnapped? If so, by whom? Will the doctor be able to reach that kidnapper? You get the answers to these questions in the theatre in a crazy 93-minutes ride.

Acting

Sohum Shah is the only actor in this film, and he has shown excellence in every scene. His acting gives a strong base to the ‘Crazxy’ and forces the audience to stay in their seats. There are times when it becomes too much to watch a solo act but you have to, since it's a one-man show.

Direction

Girish Kohli has written and directed the film. He maintains the grip of the story in his direction, but the screenplay is stretched at some places. There are some good twists in the writing, but in the end the film feels a bit long.

Music

Gulzar sahab’s songs are good, but the direction of the music and the efforts of the composers do not match the story. The music of Vishal Bhardwaj and other composers remains in the background and does not make any special impact or connect with the mood of the film.

Overall

You’re not missing much if you don’t see ‘Crazxy’.
