The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Naira and Kartik doubting Suhana and family over their gift of the Krishna idol. Kartik goes to help Manish and Naira checks whether the idol has any signs of being similar to theirs. She finds none. Swarna sees this and asks her to help and not create any more issues. Manish scolds Swarna for emotionally blackmailing Naira.

Rahul gives money to a man and says that Savita and Suhana should thank him else they would have been jailed for idol theft. Naira is upset and thinks the misunderstandings happened in between Swarna and Manish because of her. Kartik consoles her and assures her that things would be alright soon.

Suhasini informs everyone about the engagement mahurat, set to happen the next day. Swarna says that they won't have the engagement unless Manish agrees. Manish gives them a green signal. Naksh and Kirti spend some good moments together. Kartik and Naira complement each other as they get ready for the engagement ceremony. They too spend some good moments together.

Manish and Swarna resolve their issues because of Naira. Suhasini calls Naira and gives her an engagement ring to safeguard. Rahul, Savita and Suhana look at an empty ring box and laugh. They arrive for celebrations at the Goenka house. As they enter, Suhana asks Savita to keep the empty box safely. Luv and Kush overhear them.

The ring box falls out of Savita's hand. Luv and Kush pick it up and say that they want to see the ring too and discover that the ring box is empty. Rahul takes out another box and says that the ring was kept there. Kartik and Naira are busy with their work when Luv and Kush come to tell them the truth. Kartik asks them not to interfere in somebody else's business. Luv and Kush say that they will prove the truth soon. Naira feels suspicious about Suhana's family.
