The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Naira thinking of how to solve the paper for re-test. She finds it difficult and goes to bed. She imagines Kartik sitting next to her and helping her out. Soon her bubble is burst and she comes back to reality. Naitik thinks that something is wrong with Naira. At the Goenka house, Swarna is unable to go to Mumbai and Manish becomes happy.

Kirti gets worried since the order needs to be placed on time and her tailor backs out due to festivities. Naksh tries to motivate. Bhabhimaa overhears the conversation and feels bad for Kirti as it is messed up because of her. She starts stitching scarfs and says that she would help Kirti. Devyani too joins and so does Rajshekhar. Kirti feels blessed to have a family so cooperative.

Naitik and Naira call at home and everybody talks except Naksh who is in the kitchen making tea for them. Naira calls Naksh later and talks to him. Naksh chooses to respond dull. Naira says that she misses and loves him a lot. Naksh asks her why did she leave him and go to Mumbai and changes the topic.

Later in the day, Kartik wakes up and gets late. He rushes to college and gets stuck in traffic. The driver suggests him to take the train. Kartik starts running towards the train and gets into the ladies compartment. The ladies start yelling at him. Naira sees him and gets shocked. She rescues him from the ladies and from getting scolded. The ladies start teasing both Naira and Kartik.
