The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Naira worrying about her MRI scan. She requests Kartik not to send her into the MRI machine. Kartik calms her down and asks her to close her eyes and imagine him and some good moments.
Kartik tells her a story of them moving into an igloo. Naira imagines herself dancing and also sees Kartik dancing along. After the test, Naira asks Kartik about the reports and worries and he asks her to calm down and plays games to divert her mind.
Kartik says that he needs to go for some work and shall go out for some time and be back soon. Kartik and the family pray as the reports come. The doctors check the reports and hand over them to Kartik. He checks the reports and tells the family that Naira is critical. Naira overhears this and gets shocked. The families are tensed and wonder what to do to help Naira recover.
