The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Goenka family celebrating happiness as Naira and Kartik's baby has arrived. They keep the celebrations low because of the death of Naksh and Keerti's baby's death. They do not know that the babies were exchanged by Kartik. Keerti's delivery tag attached to the baby in Naira'a hand falls on the floor. Naira finds it and asks Kartik.

Kartik says that he kept it with him in the memory of Keerti's child. Naira asks Kartik to keep the tag safely. The police arrive at Singhania's mansion with the CCTV footage of the accident of Keerti and Naksh. Naksh sees Aditya's car in the footage and gets angry and wants him to get arrested. The Singhanias get extremely angry and they wonder why Aditya harmed Naksh and Keerti.

Naksh reveals that Keerti, Naira, Kartik and he himself had exposed Aditya just before his marriage with Keerti's friend. Naksh holds himself responsible for Keerti's condition. The same nurse who knows that Keerti's baby is with Naira and Naira's baby has passed away, is appointed by Dadi to look after Naira. Kartik gets tensed.
