Actor and politician Kamal Haasan, who has often taken a stand that is diametrically opposite to the stand taken by the BJP on a number of issues, has expressed his wholehearted support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for a Janta Curfew on March 22 to fight the Corovid19 scare.
Taking to Twitter, Kamal Haasan said, "I stand in full solidarity with our Prime Minister’s call for #JantaCurfew. In this extraordinary situation, we have to take extraordinary measures. It’s a disaster that has befallen on us and by staying united and indoors, we can Stay Safe. I call upon my fans,my friends and my people in support of the cause on 22nd March Sunday, 7am to 9pm #JantaCurfew."

It wasn't just Kamal Haasan, who came out in support of the PM's call. A number of celebrities cutting across regions and industries voiced their support for the curfew. One such person was actress Rakul Preet Singh, who enjoys a huge fan following in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

The next two weeks are crucial for India as it fights off a major scare that is being posed by the pandemic Covid 19. If the Covid19 is allowed to progress to Stage3, which means there is community transmission of the virus, India could be facing a very serious problem.
