Mahesh Babu, on May 31, announced the title of his upcoming film with Geetha Govindam director Parasuram as Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The film marks the Telugu superstar's 27th outing. Soon after the announcement was made, fans were sent into a zone of excitement. Along with this, the buzz regarding the leading actress caught momentum. While the makers are yet to confirm the rest of the cast, rumour has it that Kiara Advani is being roped in opposite Mahesh. According to reports of a leading daily, the Good Newwz actress, who was seen with the Mahesh in Bharat Ane Nenu in 2018, seems to fit the bit. Sources close to the development informed the daily that after several rounds of discussions, the makers felt Kiara's presence will widen its reach and give Sarkaru Vaari Paata a pan-India appeal.
"Kiara and Mahesh were a successful pairing in Bharat Ane Nenu and the makers are looking to recreate the magic. After several rounds of discussions, they felt she fits the bill and with successful films like Kabir Singh and Good Newwz to her credit, they feel Kiara’s presence will give the film a pan-India appeal, particularly in the Hindi belt," the source told.
Talking about Sarkaru Vaari Paata going on floors, the source said that the team is exploring ways to shoot and kickstart only when the safety measures are in place. "The team is exploring several options on how to shoot and will kick off once the safety guidelines are in place," the source added.
Revealing the basic plotline of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, the source said that Mahesh will be playing a larger-than-life character and will be pitched against a businessman who is behind financial crimes. "Mahesh Babu plays a larger-than-life character who takes on a white-collared businessman responsible for several financial crimes. The story highlights disparities between the rich and the poor in the country’s banking system. He is a style icon down South and the makers have designed a special look for Mahesh Babu," the source concluded.
Workwise, Mahesh has signed SS Rajamouli's next after RRR. On the other hand, Kiara is gearing up for the release of Laxmmi Bomb and Indoo Ki Jawani. She was also shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 before the lockdown was announced.
