Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away at the age of 39 on Sunday (June 7) in Bengaluru. According to reports, the promising actor suffered a massive heart attack after complaining of chest pain on Saturday. He was taken to Apollo Specialty Hospital, Jayanagar, on Sunday noon but was declared dead on arrival. Talking to a leading publication regarding Chiranjeevi's death, Dr. Govindaiah Yatheesh, the unit head of the hospital, told that the actor's family hasn't requested for an autopsy and his body is handed over to the police. His funeral was held and several people from the industry were present. 

In the pictures and videos of Chiranjeevi’s funeral that are being shared online, Kannada stars Yash, Shiva Rajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep were seen paying their last respects to him. His wife Meghana Raj, also an actor, was inconsolable. Meghana was seen breaking down beside the late actor as she hugged him for the last time. The video, shared by a Kannada news website on YouTube, has brought tears to the eyes of the fans and followers of the Kannada actor. Meghana is three-months pregnant and the couple was expecting their child by this year-end.
