Giving a major surprise to fans, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas confirmed their maiden collaboration for Mahanati director Nag Ashwin's upcoming film. While the pan-world film is yet to go on floors, the announcement has left everyone excited. However, while sharing the news of Deepika joining Prabhas in his 21st film, an international publication mentioned that the project is tentatively titled Prabhas 21. They went on to say that it will be a Telugu release while the film is a trilingual one.
Correcting them politely, Deepika, on Twitter, cleared the air that Nag Ashwin's film isn't titled Prabhas 21 and it will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. "Thank you for reporting.However, a)The film is not titled #Prabhas21.It only happens to be Prabhas’s 21st film. b)It is a trilingual film:Hindi,Tamil & Telugu Kindly make note. Thank You...," Deepika tweeted.

PeepingMoon.com, in an exclusive dated July 18, 2020, informed its readers that the film is said to be a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary third world war. It is believed that Prabhas and Deepika will be seen in characters they have never played previously. Prabhas' 21 film is expected to go on floors in April next year with an expected release in 2022 that is the 50th year of one of the biggest Telugu film production houses, Vyjayanthi Movies.
