Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, on the occasion of his father Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna's birthday, announced his next film with Geetha Govindam director Parasuram. Titled Sarkaru Vaari Paata, the film is said to revolve around a bank scam and will be a family drama. While fans are eagerly waiting for the film to go on floors, the report of an entertainment portal has it that Ananya Panday will feature along with Mahesh as the second lead. Keerthy Suresh is confirmed as the leading lady.
The makers of Sarkaru Vaari Paata are reportedly keen on roping in the daughter of Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey for the other role for pan-India appeal. However, there is no official confirmation from Ananya or the makers. It is being said that if all goes well, an announcement regarding Ananya's inclusion will be made soon. According to previous reports, Kiara Advani was being considered for the lead role.
Speaking of Ananya, she signed the pan-India film directed by Puri Jagannadh. The yet-to-be-titled film features Vijay Deverakonda opposite the Student Of The Year 2 actress. Before the lockdown, Ananya and Vijay were seen shooting on the streets of Mumbai. Ananya's mentor Karan Johar is the presenter and joint producer of the actioner. It also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Aali and Getup Srinu. In association with Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies and Puri Connects, the project is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan and Apoorva Mehta.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Entertainments in association with GMB Entertainments.
