A lot went on in the South film industry today. From renowned singer SP Balasubrahmanyam's health update to Tamannaah Bhatia's new film with Thalapathy Vijay and Taapsee Pannu's new South film with Vijay Sethupathi, several South celebrities made headlines today.
Taapsee Pannu's new South film
Taapsee Pannu has reportedly signed another film with Jana Gana Mana makers Fashion Studios. The film will have Taapsee in the lead and buzz is that acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi will also appear in a special role. The film is to be directed by popular director and actor Sundarajan's son Deepak Sundarajan.
SP Balasubrahmanyam's health update
SPB's son SP Charan and the hospital gave a health update of the singer. They confirmed that the singer is conscious and is showing progress. SP Balasubrahmanyam is clinically stable and being closely monitored by the medical staff. In a video message, Charan revealed that his father is doing much better and also started listening to music. "He is doing much better than how he was the day before yesterday. There is a slight improvement in the lungs, he is feeling comfortable without sedation. The doctors are happy that he has taken a first step towards recovery. Though it won't be a fast run, it will be slow and steady and this is the first step," his son said in a video.
Tamannaah Bhatia's new film with Thalapathy Vijay
Tamannaah Bhatia is likely to team up with Thalapathy Vijay again for his 65th film with director AR Murugadoss. While AR Murugadoss will be directing the film, SS Thaman has been roped in to compose music for it. The latest buzz in the industry is that actress Tamannaah will be reuniting with Vijay after almost a decade. The makers have apparently approached Tamannaah to play one of the female leads in the film.
