Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan turned 49 today (September 2). Fans of the Power Star, through social media, made his day even special. However, as the celebrations were being planned by his admirers in a grand manner, an unfortunate incident took place. A report in a leading daily stated that three fans of Pawan were electrocuted to death and at least four others are 'seriously' injured. The fatal accident took place in the Shantipuram area in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening.
The accident happened when the fans were erecting a banner while making arrangements for Pawan's birthday celebration. Reportedly, the banner, that was being put up on Kuppam -Palamaneru highway, came in contact with a live wire. As per the report, the deceased have been identified as Somasekhar (31), Rajendra (29) and Arunachalam (20).

Soon after the news broke out, the makers of Pawan's upcoming film Vakeel Saab announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lacs each to the families of the deceased. Producer Boney Kapoor, on Twitter, issued a statement. "With heavy hearts, we express our deepest condolences to the families of the three fans who unfortunately lost their lives. We, along with millions of others, express our solidarity to their families in this hour of grief. We come forward to announce a financial assistance of 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased," the statement read.
