Tamil actor-comedian Pandu breathes his last, succumbs to COVID-19 complications

Popular Tamil actor-comedian Pandu, who starred in several comedic roles, has passed away. He breathed his last on Thursday in Chennai in a private hospital due to COVID-19. He was 74 years old.

As per reports, Pandu was undergoing treatment in a hospital after he tested positive for coronavirus. His wife, Kumdha, who also tested positive, is currently being treated in the same hospital’s ICU.

Tributes have been pouring in for the actor who was handpicked by MGR to design the party symbol and flag for AIADMK. Producer Dhananjayan and Sibi Sathyaraj paid tributes to Pandu.

The actor’s first notable role was in 1981 Tamil film Karaiyellam Shenbagapoo. Since then, he has starred in several films including some popular ones such as Chinna Thambi, Kadhal Kottai and Badri among others.
