A day before Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the title of his highly-anticipated 153rd film has been revealed by the makers. The film till now referred to as #Chiru153 has now officially titled as Godfather.
Directed by Mohan Raja the film is the remake of Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer that starred Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. The name of the film was announced with the first look poster of Chiranjeevi. The poster shows his silhouette wherein he can be seen wearing a hat and holding a gun in his right hand. A motion poster was also shared by the makers.

Godfather is bankrolled by Konidela Production Company, N V Prasad and R B Choudary’s Super Good Films. Adding to that, the political thriller will be presented by Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha Konidela. Thaman S has been roped in to compose the music of the film.
It is also rumoured that Salman Khan will be making his Telugu debut with the film and will be essaying Prithviraj’s role. However, there is no confirmation on the same from the makers as of now.
