At the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Badminton player Pusarla Venkata (PV) Sindhu wrote history by becoming the first Indian female athlete to win two Olympic medals. In fact, she became the third Indian athlete to win two individual Olympic medals after Norman Pritchard in 1900 and Sushil Kumar in 2008 and 2012. PV Sindhu is also the second Indian athlete to win medals in consecutive editions of the Olympics (after the Rio Olympics in 2016). Now, after winning bronze at Tokyo Olympics 2020, PV Sindhu has placed India's flag higher on the global platform.
As PV Sindhu continues to reap the fruits of her hard work, she was felicitated by Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi. The star hosted a party at his residence on August 20. Chiranjeevi's son, Ram Charan also felicitated Sindhu along with his father. Celebrities like Nagarjuna and Rana Daggubati were also present. Chiranjeevi felicitated her with a shawl and put the medal back around her neck.

Sindhu thanked Chiranjeevi and tweeted, "Thank you for being a superb host @KChiruTweets sir. It was an eventful night with fun-loving guests and great conversations! It’s always a pleasure being a part of your cheerful, joyous company!"
