Kannada film industry's Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last on October 29 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. The youngest child of matinee idol Dr Rajkumar and Parvathamma Rajkumar, Puneeth was 46 years old. On Sunday morning, the actor was laid to rest next to his father's grave in Kanteerava Studio.
Before the burial, Puneeth's body was wrapped in tricolour and was kept at the Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru for fans and well-wishers. Around 5.30 am this morning, the actor's mortal remains were brought in a procession to the studio. Reportedly, the final rites were conducted as per the traditions of the Ediga community of the Hindu religion.

Puneeth is survived by his wife Ashwini and 2 daughters named Drithi and Vanditha. Family members, friends and fans bid an emotional goodbye to the Power Star, who was last seen in Yuvarathnaa.
The Power Star's family had planned to perform the last rites on Saturday evening, after his daughter, who was in the US, reached Bengaluru. However, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, informed that the family decided to push the burial to Sunday morning as large crowds were still waiting to pay their last respects.
Celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Prabhudeva, Rana Daggubati and others paid their last respects.
