Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s marriage came to an end last year. The actor left their fans in shock when they announced their separation on social media in October 2021. Now, almost a year later, Samantha’s father Joseph Prabhu took to his Facebook to share throwback pictures from their wedding in Goa and wrote a touching note. He wrote that he took a long time to overcome their separation and now that he has come to terms with it he is ready to start a new chapter in life.
Joseph Prabhu took to Facebook on September to share some happy memories from his daughter, Samantha’s wedding, which is generally a big and happy day for any father. Sharing the throwback pictures from four years ago when Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot in Goa, Joseph Prabhu wrote, “Long long ago, there was a story. And it doesn't exist anymore!! So, let's start a new story and a new chapter (sic)."
The actress’ father also responded to his followers, who had left messages of love and support in the comments section of his post. Acknowledging their love and support Joseph Prabhu wrote, “Thanks for all your feelings. Yes, I sat down for a long time to overcome emotions. Life is too short to sit down with feelings and get bogged down.”
Samantha and Chaitanya had tied the knot in October 2017 but announced their separation just short of their fourth wedding anniversary in 2021. According to reports, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have filed for divorce by mutual consent. The legal proceedings are underway.
