Vijay Deverakonda ignores question about 'Jana Gana Mana' at SIIMA 2022 amid reports of the film being shelved

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Jana Gana Mana has been reportedly shelved after the failure of his latest pan-India release Liger. Jana Gana Mana was going to reunite Vijay with his Liger director Puri Jagannadh.

During SIIMA 2022, Vijay was asked a question about his upcoming projects. He, however, refused to answer. The actor, instead, spoke about the event and added that he hoped to enjoy it.

Talking about Liger, Vijay played an MMA fighter with a stutter in the film. It also featured Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. Former American boxer Mike Tyson was also seen in a cameo in Liger.

The film was much-hyped ahead of its release. However, Liger did not work at the box-office.
