Goodbyes aren't forever: Mahesh Babu & Ghattamaneni family issue statement after veteran superstar Krishna's demise

Veteran actor Krishna, born as Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, breathed his last at the age of 80 during the early hours of Tuesday. Hailed as the first superstar of Telugu cinema, he worked in the industry for over 3 decades. Now, the Ghattamaneni family issued an official statement. 

The statement read, "It is with the deepest grief that we inform you of the passing of our dearest Krishna garu. He was a superstar in so many ways beyond the movie screen... guided by love, humility and compassion. He will live on through his work, through us, and the many lives he influenced. He loved us more than anything and we will miss him more with each passing day... but as they say, goodbyes aren't forever. Until we meet again... - THE GHATTAMANENI FAMILY."

Mr. Krishna's son Mahesh Babu is a renowned Telugu superstar. The superstar's first wife and Mahesh Babu's mother Indira Devi passed away on September 28 due to a prolonged illness. Mr. Krishna's elder son Ramesh Babu breathed his last on January 8 this year. He was said to be battling liver-related ailments for a long time. 

Further details on the funeral are yet to be confirmed.
